New Campaign To Stop Proposed Moons Moat Housing Development

After plans were revealed for the development of 23 two and three bed houses on the land between Moons Moat Drive and the Coventry Highway, Mark has launched a petition calling on Redditch Council's Planning Committee to reject the plans.

Mark said "Having heard of the plans I went to look at the site. While there is no doubt that there is need for new affordable and social housing in Redditch, it is clear that the proposed site off Moons Moat Drive is not suitable for development."

"My main concerns are that there is an increased risk of motor collisions - the junction with Rickyards Lane is already a notorious black spot and additional traffic in that area would just make it worse. Also, the trees and vegetation in the area provide a habitat for wildlife and help clean the air we breathe - to lose them would be a travesty."
